Pre-KAKOM

BEFORE KAKOM
Karnival kokurikulum Matrikulasi or in short KAKOM was held in College Matriculation Johor ( KMJ ) this year. It was a grand ceremony including 14 colleges from different states. It was a week for all athletes and participants to show their capability in certain aspects.

After the 3-day-examination, UPS in short, we had to stay for KAKOM. As for all participants, before going to KMJ, we all had to practice, especially we marching team. I, together with She Mei, Zhi Yung and Poh Yee were the members of marching as we had to stay back for another day of practicing before starting our journey to Johor.

23rd July 2010
7.30am - We all were told to be gathered in front of the library at 7.30am. All of us were done packing one day before the trip. Our marching team and volleyball team were in the same bus. The journey started. It was a long way to Johor. Luckily I borrowed a novel from library- The Da Vinci Code. Zhi Yung and Poh Yee were sleeping while me and She Mei reading throughout the journey. Around 10 ++ am, we stopped at one station for half an hour, in between I and Zhi Yung together with Khee, Taye and all went for out breakfast, or lunch more suitable, considering having rice to fill up our grumbling stomach. As the journey continued, we stopped for another 3 times to eat. Around 9 ++ pm in the night, our bus finally came to a halt. "KMJ". Finally! We settled down.

24th July 2010
It's a tiring journey and the next day we had to wake up before dawn and gathered at the activity room around 6 o'clock. Oh My God! It's still one day before the opening ceremony. After having our breakfast, we all had to practice. Johor is really different when compared to Perlis in many ways, especially weather. The Johor Matriculation actually has a lot of facilities and very convenient to all the students there but I find that I prefer Perlis Matriculation. Our college will be beyond reproach IF and only IF the insects vanish from our view. The room and toilet in Perlis are a way better than Johor! It's an agreement from all Perlis matriculation students I think. An unspoken agreement. It's a weird thing to represent Perlis and went back to my own state to compete with my own state. Our marching competition would be started on Monday. So have a break first! But NOT at all, we had to do a lot of preparation before the game. To polish our boots, to iron our clothes, to make sure all our stuff are fully prepared and a lot more! Sewing, ironing, cleaning, polishing, All we had to do. We were the busiest among all the activities I think. And yet many think that marching just an easy stuff ><>
